MCI seeks skilled Sheet Metal Mechanics with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in the construction of commercial HVAC Systems. These positions report to the Senior Project Manager assigned.
Key Job Responsibilities
Ability to read and interpret drawings to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products.
Measure, mark dimensions, and layout material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators, and squares.
Provide assistance to the construction lead and foremen as needed on the job.
Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools.
Ability to measure, cut, bend, and form metal components to precise shapes and fasten to a finished product.
Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will
last.
Ability to use shears, saws, drills, power-actuated guns, and punches to cut/install metal duct work.
Ability to transport, join and fasten parts to walls, floors, or ceilings using metal hangers.
Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last.
Knowledgeable in setting up equipment, and installing various types of duct systems ranging from slip and drive, ductmate, TDC, various dampers, and all other related appurtenances of the air side of HVAC.
Ability to complete sheet metal layouts and fabrications, good mechanical skills.
Must be able to work on high ladders and scaffolding
