    Titus Talent Strategies is recruiting for this opportunity on behalf of our client. This is a full time direct hire role with the client.

    Role Summary

    The Mechanical Designer (Systems) is responsible for developing, preparing, and validating design drawings in accordance with company engineering and design standards, practices, and quality specifications. This role ensures that engineered systems meet customer requirements while aligning with fabrication, installation, and manufacturing constraints. Reporting to the Mechanical Design Manager, the Mechanical Designer works cross-functionally with Project Engineers, Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Installation, and Service to resolve design issues, coordinate changes, and support customer satisfaction. This is a non-exempt, hourly position eligible for overtime.

    Top 3 Performance Objectives (First 90 Days)

    1. Demonstrate proficiency in design standards by developing approval, assembly, and detailed production drawings aligned with company engineering and design standards, while consistently applying quality system procedures to assigned projects.

    2. Deliver accurate and error-free drawings by independently preparing and checking design drawings prior to submission to customers or manufacturing, and ensuring drawings align with contract scope and customer specifications.

    3. Establish strong cross-functional coordination by collaborating effectively with Project Engineers and other departments to resolve design issues and change orders, and participating in field surveys when necessary to accurately integrate findings into system layouts.

    Long-Term Success Metrics

    • Consistently produce high-quality, fabrication-ready drawings that require minimal revision.
    • Accurately implement design modifications to address building obstructions, utilities, or product quality concerns.
    • Become a reliable technical resource across departments for detailed design coordination. Support training and development of co-workers on design teams.
    • Represent the company professionally in matters related to technical coordination and detailed design support.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Two-year Associate’s degree in Technology Management, Engineering, or Computer Aided Drawing (CAD).
    • Experience in manufacturing-related design work, including approval, assembly, and detailed production fabrication drawings.
    • Proficiency in computerized design applications such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills to work within a team environment.
    • Ability to thoroughly check drawings for errors or deviations from standard practice prior to release.
    • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs without restriction.
    • Ability to climb ladders, steps, catwalks, and machinery at manufacturing sites.
