    Mechanical Drafter
    St. Paul, MN | 3-Month Contract (Potential to Extend) | $24–32/hr

    Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company to add a Mechanical Drafter to their team on a 3-month contract basis, with the potential for extension based on project workload and performance. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented drafter with strong AutoCAD skills looking to contribute to a continuation engineering team working on medical devices, fixtures, and prototypes.

    This position is primarily focused on 2D AutoCAD drafting, with occasional use of SolidWorks. While SolidWorks experience is a plus, it is not a core requirement for this role.

    Mechanical Drafter Responsibilities:

    • Create, revise, and maintain detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD for medical devices, fixtures, and prototypes
    • Perform drawing updates from redlines and document change requests
    • Support the engineering team by accurately measuring components using metrology tools (e.g., calipers, gauge pins)
    • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation
    • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure drawing accuracy and project timelines are met
    • Occasionally work with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, as needed


    Mechanical Drafter Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree or technical training in drafting, or equivalent hands-on experience
    • Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment
    • Familiarity with GD&T is preferred
    • Experience with SolidWorks is a plus but not required
    • Comfortable using basic measurement tools for part inspection and documentation
