    COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

    Calviri is an early-stage healthcare company building exceptional research and product development teams. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join the company’s forward-thinking efforts in developing diagnostic and vaccine products to detect cancer early or prevent it from starting. Our mission is to provide a broad spectrum of fundamentally different diagnostics and vaccines that will end deaths from cancer. Calviri is focused on using frameshift neoantigens derived from errors in RNA synthesis and processing to provide these pioneering products.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    In this engineering position, overarching responsibilities will include maintenance, development, and optimization of integrated machine tools for the synthesis of peptides on microarrays using mask-based photolithography. Our tools are similar to those used in the semiconductor industry. Calviri’s microchip technologies are central to our novel vaccines and diagnostics. Candidates familiar with photolithography tools will be favored. A successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in exhaust and vacuum systems, robotics, pneumatics, and electronics to meet specialized needs in automated peptide array synthesis.

    Strong consideration will be given to candidates with a proven record of having functioned both as team lead, as well as within teams, that drove projects to completion within timelines. As an early-stage company, Calviri anticipates a candidate being required to engage in a variety of roles to meet these expectations:

    • Advanced knowledge of exhaust, vacuum, valves, fittings, connectors
    • Perform maintenance on coater and photolithography tools
    • Provide facilities engineering leadership to the site organizations in support of safety, reliability, quality and cost
    • Significant participation in modifications to equipment, machinery, facility systems and building maintenance as the company grows
    • Establish close working relationships with the technical staff at our custom manufacturing equipment vendor companies. Work directly with them on equipment improvements, add-ons, software updates, and troubleshooting
    • Own safety within area of influence to ensure systems operate reliably and avoid manufacturing/facility or operations impacts
    • Delivery of results through the application of engineering skills and systematic problem-solving, statistical validation of system performance in collaboration with all stakeholders

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

    • Minimally 5 years' work experience in engineering positions related to semiconductor manufacturing
    • Strong record of leading, executing and managing successful projects
    • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods, including Statistical Process Control
    • Strong Experience or equivalent skill required in areas of Electrical/Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Water/Gas/Mechanical/Chemistry
    • Ability to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees engineering peers to operational technicians to management
    • Demonstrated application of sound engineering principles and technical problem solving
    • Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, collaboration and communication skills

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 40 lbs. as well as sit/stand for extended periods.

    WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be legally able to work in the United State without sponsorship now or in the future.
