AUTOMATION ENGINEER CO-OP
What you’ll get to do:
As an Automation Engineering Co-op/Intern you will turn product concepts and designs into reality. You will work in a new product development launch environment that develops a wide variety of plastic labware products from concept to launch.
The Automation Engineering Team develops the manufacturing process and equipment to produce product. You’ll help us research, develop and deploy innovative new technologies for the manufacturing, assembly and testing of plastic products.
You will collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team of operations managers, design engineers, process development engineers, packaging engineers, quality engineers and project leaders to develop plastic products for life science, medical device, laboratory, diagnostic and consumer product markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a mentor in a new product development environment that will allow you to learn product and process development methods and expand your engineering knowledge.
How you’ll make a difference:
Process design: support process design by conducting DOE of Process Parameters and present analysis at technical review
Manufacturing process design: use process design tools (process flow diagram, PFMEA and control plan) to develop machine specifications and process risk assessments
Process design validation and launch: conduct Factory Acceptance Test, Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Production Qualification (PQ) for new processes and process changes
Develop engineering standards: help create and implement automation engineering design guides and standards that improve internal processes for the Automation Engineering team
