Connexa Search Group is working with a well-established firm in the Lynchburg, VA area seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a variety of building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical design skills and experience supporting construction-focused initiatives, including HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, layout, and specification of mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities

• Support construction documentation, submittals, and field coordination

• Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure systems are properly integrated and buildable

• Assist with cost estimates, equipment selection, and system analysis
  
• Review shop drawings and support RFIs during the construction phase

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

• Mechanical engineering experience (construction-related experience preferred)

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design tools

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
