Cimarron is seeking Mechanical Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force’s Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an onsite position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e., every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties:
Prepare and check design and procurement documents, including P&IDs, calculations, data sheets, engineering specifications, and material requisitions.
Develop specifications and data sheets for unique, requirement-driven equipment and serve as the technical representative for related purchase orders or subcontracts.
Review vendor submittals and manage the technical performance of selected suppliers.
Apply standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, and procedures to support design decisions.
Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical components and processes using applicable procedures, standards, and tools.
Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts with other disciplines, the client, vendors, contractors, and construction teams.
Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, and proposals.
Provide technical assistance to mechanical personnel and interface with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to resolve complex issues.
Support project and construction management by identifying and addressing mechanical requirements throughout project execution.
Prepare mechanical engineering reports for clients as needed.
Mentor and assist junior mechanical engineering team members.
Complete mechanical documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
Select components and equipment based on specification analysis and reliability assessments.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States.
5 or more years of related experience.
Experience in developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), designing chilled water systems, performing pipe sizing calculations, and preparing equipment specifications and procurement documents for waste processing, nuclear, refinery, power, or chemical process facilities.
Experience developing custom equipment packages, including skid-mounted systems and specialty items such as security doors.
Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) projects and with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs).
Experience working under quality assurance programs such as ASME NQA-1 or AS9100D.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Additional Requirements for Senior-Level Position:
8 or more years of experience.
