We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a focus on fluid systems to support the design, analysis, and integration of liquid and gas subsystems for an aerospace program. This role emphasizes component-level mechanical engineering, CAD integration, configuration management, and collaboration across engineering teams.
The position is execution-focused and supports established system architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support liquid and gas fluid systems , including tubing, valves, fittings, pumps, and related mechanical components.
- Develop, review, and interpret engineering requirements and technical specifications for fluid and thermal components.
- Perform first-order fluid and thermal analyses to support design decisions and margin assessments.
- Create, modify, and review 3D CAD models in Creo , with emphasis on tubing and fluid routing.
- Interface with configuration management to maintain accurate engineering BOMs, product structures, and controlled releases in Windchill (PLM).
- Support subsystem-level integration activities , including interface definition and coordination with adjacent engineering teams.
- Contribute to test planning, execution support, and data review as hardware and test activities mature.
- Track tasks, engineering changes, and deliverables using Jira , collaborating with technical leads to manage priorities and schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with fluid systems , including both liquid and gas
- Proficiency with Creo for 3D CAD modeling (tubing experience strongly preferred)
- Experience working within Windchill or similar PLM/configuration management systems
