Our client is hiring a Mechanical Engineer!

Apply your mechanical engineering background to assist our client with project engineering, quoting and new business development for a global customer base!

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer

• Develop parts specifications for new products
• Quote these new products to OEM customers and distributors including details such as gross margins and overall material and labor costs
• Serve as a technical liaison for all inbound and outbound quotes along with follow-up to the sales team
• Serve as a negotiator for pricing directly with the customer including feasibility and DFM reviews
• Report directly to the NPD Product Manager

Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or technical equivalent along with at least 2 years of experience is preferred but not required
• At least a rudimentary understanding of ISO, AS9100, AIAG, APQP, PPAP, FMEA both PFMEA and DFMEA, MSA, SPC, GD&T from within the metals industry such as metal stampings from punch presses and fourslides, roll forming, cold heading, metal extrusion, metal spinning, wire drawing or any other metal forming process is a strong plus

Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer

The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year depending on experience.
