    Title: Mechanical Engineer - Tooling

    Shift: Standard business hours; flexibility may be required based on project deadlines and travel

    Salary: Up to $85,000 annually, dependent on experience

    Mechanical Engineer - Tooling Role:

    Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Tooling to enhance existing designs, develop new tooling solutions, and provide technical support to clients. This role is critical for supporting internal and external manufacturing through the creation of precise 3D models and various supporting files in our Wickliffe, OH location.

    Mechanical Engineer - Tooling Responsibilities:

    • Create detailed 3D models and fully annotated engineering drawings for manufacturing

    • Develop complete Bills of Material (BOMs) and, when required, proposal drawings for customer approval

    • Design prototypes and conduct testing of new tooling designs

    • Travel to customer manufacturing plants and factories to gather information

    • Liaise effectively with manufacturing and design teams to ensure seamless integration

    • Design cutting tools used in the pipe industry, including special inserts, chip breakers, cartridges, tool holders, and boring bars

    • Design tools used in the bending industry, including bending dies, clamp dies, pressure dies, wiper dies, and mandrels

    • Produce supporting files such as .xls, .pdf, .x_t, or .stp for manufacturing

    Mechanical Engineer - Tooling Reporting Relationships:

    This role typically reports to an Engineering Manager or a senior engineering leader within our client's organization. This position does not have direct reports.

    About You:

    • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline

    • Demonstrate practical experience using AutoCAD Inventor software

    • Exhibit superb attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work

    • Manage time efficiently and consistently produce high-quality work

    • Be a self-motivated individual with a high level of ownership

    • The ability to work independently and to collaborate effectively with others

    • Exhibit a good eye for detail in all design and drawing work

    • Have the ability to complete projects on time and to precise specifications
