Traveling Mechanical Engineering Manager Role:
Our client is expanding its service capabilities in the US market and seeks a Traveling Mechanical Engineering Manager to oversee the service, maintenance, and assembly of industrial conveyor systems across various US customer locations. This role is crucial for supporting customers and managing significant projects.
Mechanical Manager Responsibilities:
Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial conveyor systems
Coordinate all trades on site at the customer's premises
Monitor the proper, professional, and timely execution of work
Provide active intervention in the assembly and repair process using specialized knowledge
Actively support commissioning and handovers
Ensure comprehensive construction site documentation
Develop technical solutions for complex issues
Monitor compliance with budgets according to preliminary planning and order costing
Lead and instruct installation teams effectively
Support customers with technical questions and concerns
Take responsibility for adherence to applicable occupational health and safety rules
Travel primarily Monday to Friday across the United States to various customer locations
Mechanical Manager Reporting Relationships:
This candidate will report to the Director of Aftermarket Sales or a Plant Manager. This role will also be responsible for leading and instructing installation teams.
About You:
Possess completed training as a mechanical engineering technician, master craftsman, or similar qualification
Demonstrate management experience in national or international plant construction
Exhibit strong project management skills
Have an unrestricted willingness to travel nationally and work for extended periods on construction sites
Present a confident appearance with pronounced persuasiveness and assertiveness
Display initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a team
Possess reliability, the ability to work under pressure, and intercultural competence
Have good IT skills, including familiarity with MS 365 products (Office, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Hold a valid driver's license
