We are conducting a confidential search for a Mechanical / Piping Designer to support industrial projects based out of Birmingham, Alabama. This role will focus on piping layouts, equipment arrangement, and drawing package development for heavy industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, equipment arrangements, and design packages
• Develop and revise drawings based on engineering input and field conditions
• Support piping routing, tie-ins, and multidisciplinary coordination
• Assist with drawing production and model updates
• Help develop construction-ready documentation

Qualifications

• 5–20 years of mechanical and/or piping design experience
• Industrial design experience preferred
• Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D or similar design software
• Strong understanding of piping layouts and industrial drawing packages
• Ability to support fast-paced project environments
