    Job Summary

    We are an MEP Engineering firm seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Professional Engineer to lead our developing mechanical team. You will work extensively with other engineers and designers to direct and assist in planning, developing, and coordinating HVAC and Plumbing design solutions for commercial, industrial, multi-family, and numerous other types of projects.

    Responsibilities

    Directs and assists in planning, developing, and coordinating HVAC and Plumbing design solutions for commercial, industrial, and multi-family type projects including:

    AutoCAD and/or REVIT and systems plan to show the layout of devices, schedules for specification of equipment, and installation details.

    Filling out equipment schedules using MS Excel.

    Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings.

    Coordination with other consultants to ensure mechanical design is complete and accommodates all project requirements.

    Work with and manage a design team to meet deadlines.

    Prepare technical reports and specifications

    Perform drainage and line loss calculation

    Perform mechanical design calculations and standard computations, such as building heating and cooling.

    Follow building design and energy codes and standards

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field

    Professional Engineering license in Mechanical Engineering in the State of Utah

    6-10 years of related job experience

    Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT

    Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation

    Strong leadership skills and ability to work with people of various backgrounds

    Strong organizational skills

    The ability to multitask and prioritize based on changing project and company needs
