We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects in the Lenexa and Kansas City metro area. This role manages all phases of mechanical construction from planning through completion, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Project Manager
- Manage mechanical construction projects including HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems from inception to closeout
- Oversee project field staff, subcontractor performance, and vendor compliance while maintaining budget controls
- Coordinate project scheduling, construction activities, and resource allocation across multiple jobsites
- Monitor project accounting, profitability metrics, and change order management
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams
Qualifications - Mechanical Project Manager
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction project management directly overseeing mechanical construction work
- Bachelor's degree in construction, mechanical engineering, or related discipline OR 5+ years mechanical field trade experience/training OR equivalent combination
- Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record and current vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Strong understanding of contract documents, budgets, and safety/statutory compliance
Preferred Qualifications - Construction Project Manager
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification
- Experience with commercial mechanical systems in healthcare, education, or industrial facilities
- Proficiency with project management software and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Knowledge of mechanical codes, OSHA safety standards, and industry best practices
- Familiarity with design-build and value engineering processes
Physical Requirements - Mechanical Project Manager
- Travel 15-20% to assigned jobsites and company offices throughout the region
- Ability to navigate active construction sites including uneven surfaces and climbing stairs
- Must meet qualifications to operate a vehicle for company business
- Occasional work in various weather conditions and construction environments
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through written correspondence
