    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Refrigeration Technician to join our growing Mechanical Division in the Kansas City area. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems across a variety of customer sites. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-performance, energy-efficient systems to our clients and ensuring satisfaction with every service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Service, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems , including walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, display cases, and rack systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot system performance issues, including electrical and refrigerant components.
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
    • Interpret and work from mechanical equipment manuals.
    • Work collaboratively with mechanical manager, clients, and team members to ensure timely, code-compliant services.
    • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders electronically.
    • Adhere to company safety standards and industry regulations.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in mechanical refrigeration service (commercial experience preferred).
    • EPA 608 Certification required.
    • Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and electrical systems.
    • Ability to read schematics.
    • Familiarity with hand and power tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and customer service mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems or rack systems is a plus.
    • HVAC or mechanical trade school certification.
    • Familiarity with digital service software and mobile apps for job tracking.

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders, rooftops, and in tight spaces.
    • Comfortable working in hot, cold, or humid conditions depending on job site.
    • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and bend for extended periods.
