Key Responsibilities — Mechanical Senior Project Manager
- Manage construction projects or assist senior management on large-scale mechanical installations including HVAC systems, ductwork, plumbing, and process piping
- Oversee project schedules, coordinate construction activities, and monitor project accounting to maintain profitability targets
- Supervise field staff performance, subcontractor compliance, and vendor coordination while ensuring adherence to contract documents and budgets
- Maintain collaborative relationships with clients, inspectors, community officials, vendors, and internal teams through regular communication and progress reporting
- Lead project teams according to established leadership models, promote safety compliance, and resolve construction issues efficiently
Qualifications — Mechanical Senior Project Manager
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in construction, mechanical engineering, or related discipline preferred, OR minimum five years mechanical field trade training, OR equivalent combination
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in mechanical construction project management directly overseeing mechanical construction work on commercial or industrial projects
- Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record and personal vehicle insurance; must be at least 18 years old with access to well-maintained vehicle
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening requirements
- Strong understanding of contract documents, budgets, scheduling, and construction compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications — Senior Mechanical Project Manager
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-CP Construction Professional certification
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Bluebeam
- Knowledge of CPM scheduling methods and project cost controls
- Familiarity with BIM/VDC coordination processes for mechanical systems
Physical Requirements — Mechanical Senior Project Manager
- Travel requirement: 15–20% to assigned jobsites and regional offices across Kansas, Missouri, and surrounding states
- Work environment: Combination of office setting and active construction sites with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, equipment noise, and typical construction hazards
- Physical demands: Ability to walk jobsites, climb ladders or scaffolding, and stand for extended periods during site inspections; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs for document materials
- Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility for project needs, occasional early mornings or evenings for coordination meetings or jobsite walkthroughs
- Driver requirements: Regular driving to jobsites and meetings; valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle required
