Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant performs the main bookkeeping functions and provides financial analysis for surgery center clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bookkeeping using QuickBooks accounting software
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Supply pricing management
- Monthly financial statement preparation and analysis
- Partner distributions and transactions
- Payroll entry
- Yearly tax preparation and reporting
- Monthly Reconciliations
- Bank accounts
- Month end Accounts Receivable
- Payment postings
- Responsible for client reporting
- Weekly and monthly reporting and analysis for managed clients
- Quarterly reporting for billing clients
- Annual regulatory reporting
- Filing, clerical work, miscellaneous administrative projects
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Controller and Accounting Staff
- Cultivate relationships with the client, physicians, and clinical staff, and MedBridge team
- Recommend and implement initiatives that enhance management services
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED
- 1-2 years accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Self-starter who can multitask and manage many relationships and deadlines simultaneously.
- Adept at problem-solving and fostering solid working and team relationships.
- Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Responsive, business-minded, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to think creatively and analytically
- Comfortable with repetitive, task-based workload
- Ability to consistently meet stringent deadlines and mange simultaneous projects
- Strong independent work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and enhance the team environment
- Excellent phone, verbal, written, and editing skills
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude in all situations
