    Job Summary:

    The Donation Coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate and direct the donation process for whole body donors. The Donation Coordinator will work closely with funeral homes, hospices, and donor families in coordinating care. A Donation Coordinator must possess natural empathy and sincerity to counsel grieving families.

    Essential Tasks:

    1. Answer and respond to all incoming donor referrals, calls and faxes.
    2. Counsel grieving families and assist them through the donation process.
    3. Input all donor information in company database, including all forms and charting.
    4. Work closely with funeral homes and hospices.

    Accountability:

    Frequently, the Donation Coordinator's decisions and actions strongly impact the company's revenue, operations, reputation, and/or customer satisfaction. Donation Coordinators follow routine procedures, established guidelines, or clearly stated standards, make few independent decisions, and perform work under close supervision. Training is provided and round-the-clock support is given for questions and problem-solving.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Computer proficiency (data entry, typing skills)
    • Pleasant telephone demeanor; ability to speak with diverse personalities
    • Documentation follow-up (electronically) and organizational skills
    • Provide excellent customer service primarily via phone, email and fax
    • Comfortably interact with funeral homes, hospice programs, and hospitals
    • Previous working experience in the medical field preferred but not required

    Work Environment:

    • Sitting for extended periods of time
    • Lifting up to 10 lbs.
    • Speaking English clearly and fluently
    • Three 12-hour shifts per week on rotating two-week schedule
    • $17.00 per hour
