Certified Peer Specialist - Dublin, GA
Pay Rate: $10.50 To 12.50/hr
Shifts: 40 Hour Work Week, Monday - Friday, 8 am-5 pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the counselor or designee, The CPS Group Leader will be responsible for the development and on-going provision of peer support services within Quentin’s Place.
- Provide guidance and consultation to individuals served.
- Function as Peer Support Specialist for assigned cases.
- Provide monthly group schedules.
- Provide groups daily for consumers at Quentin’s Place at scheduled times.
- Any other duties asked by supervisor to assist with.
- Monitor consumers as needed.
- Responsible for the provision of a safe, secure, clean, and attractive environment for consumers, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with discharge planning as needed.
- Assist with transportation of persons served as needed.
Requirements/Preferences:
- High School Diploma or equivalent document;
- Valid Georgia Driver's License;
- Pass a drug screen and national background check;
- Have lived experience dealing with a behavioral health diagnosis, have a high school diploma or GED, and be willing to become certified OR be the parent/guardian of a child with lived experience with SED/SMI and be willing to become certified.
- CPS certification preferred, but without it, applicant MUST have a Mental Health or Substance Abuse background in order to obtain said certification once hired.
