    TITLE: CREDENTIALING CLERK

    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for collaborating with CVO, credentialing staff and provider services to coordinate, monitor and maintain the credentialing and re-credentialing process.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1.      Prepare and send out packets, applications, contracts and other correspondence by e-mail or fax

    2.      Write letters, make labels, and fax cover sheets

    3.      Manage credentialing queue incoming calls

    4.      Review and distribute incoming mail

    5.      Perform online searches and verifications

    6.      Update spreadsheets

    7.      Make follow up calls to providers, health plans and Gemini Diversified Services (CVO)

    8.      Collaborate with provider services department on setting up profiles for new provider contracts

    9.      Enter profile data into sPHERICAL Solutions (homegrown credentialing database)

    10.   Assist coordinators with task completion

    11.   Perform other activities and responsibilities as assigned

     

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    High school diploma or GED; knowledge of health care credentialing highly preferred

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    ·        Strong written and oral communication skills.

    ·        Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards preferred

    ·        Ability to prepare designated reports reports.

    ·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs; primarily Word and Excel 2013 or higher

    ·        Ability to multitask and work well as a team

    ·        EZ-CAP® knowledge a plus.
