Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for making sure that all incoming and outgoing packages/mail/interoffice items are delivered and picked up in a timely fashion and to delivered to the appropriate destinations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort, open and distribute all mail daily.
· Document and deliver all certified mail and get a signature for proof of delivery.
· Check any claim with a double date stamp to see if it is a Medicare claim (if it is put in the Medicare claim inbox)
· Deliver all Medicare claims to the appropriate processor and get a signature at least once daily.
· Open, sort and batch for Imagenet all claims by CMS-1500 or UB-04.
· Keep an accurate log of the number of claims that have been sent to Imagenet.
· Process and send out shipments daily within required deadlines.
· Keep our building requests team notified of how many chairs, standing desks and other office supplies that we have in storage.
· Help any teammates with adjustments to their desks or workspaces. I.E installing a keyboard tray or floor mat.
· Put in envelope and mail out member letters, denial letters, misrouted claims and any other letter that needs to be mailed out.
· Match EOB’s with the appropriate check and mail out.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work on-site at the Sherman Oaks Galleria location.
Must be fully vaccinated and able to provide proof.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance and reliable personal vehicle required.
· Experience with mailing and shipping applications preferred
· Good organizational skills.
· Ability to work well under pressure.
