POSITION DETAILS
The Jr. Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst role is to gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. Responsible for writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. On the job training may be provided for a candidate who is tech savvy, and has a willingness to learn software testing skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration and/or 3 years equivalent work experience
- Experience with T-SQL a plus
- Knowledge of core software applications.
- Willing to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of business workflows and processes.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Any experience testing applications would be a plus.
- Business Application Trainer or Teaching background would be a plus.
- Experience with statistical reporting and analysis would be a plus
- Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures would be a plus.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language would be a plus.
