    We’re are growing! Medical Services is a market leader in the healthcare receivables industry, serving hospitals, physicians’ practices, and consumers for over 30 years. Our team is looking for knowledgeable and self-disciplined individuals to join us in our Administrative Department. We support our customer service team and healthcare communities that offer one-call resolution while assisting patients in resolving open medical balances. Our MedSrv Admin team plays a vital role in the healthcare revenue cycle.

    SKILLS 

    • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Experience in Microsoft Excel recommended
    • Comprehension – should have the ability to hear and/or read instructions and understand the concepts associated with the recon processes
    • Communication – should have the ability to communicate information, questions, requests, etc. professionally and accurately to associates and clients
    • Organization skills – should have the ability to manage active and archived electronic files in an orderly manner
    • Prioritization – should have the ability to prioritize tasks so that reports are completed in a timely manner which will ensure accurate results
    • Medical office/health insurance processes and understanding are a plus.

     

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Prior relevant work experience is a plus.
    • Demonstrated customer service experience and/or experience in a customer service-oriented environment.
    • Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated commitment to meet/exceed customer needs.
    • Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
    • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment, handling large call volumes.
    • Computer proficiency is essential.
    • Self-directed with the ability to perform both as part of a team and individually.
    • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a continuously changing environment.
    • Consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism through a strong work ethic that positively influences the work habits of the team.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistently meeting goals.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to learn and comprehend basic insurance terminology and protocols in order to handle patient accounts.
