SUMMARY
Reviews all accounts with a credit balance by assigned. Issues refund to patient or insurance carrier; contacts insurance carrier to offset overpayment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Good computer and keyboarding skills are required. Must have knowledge of office software and medical billing software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
