    Medex Surgical seeks self-motivated sales professionals with excellent communication skills, proven ability “to close” new business and expand existing business, and who possess the exceptional customer service skills necessary to meet (and exceed) the needs of demanding surgeons and other healthcare professionals. Hard work, accountability, self-study and multi-tasking proficiency are key factors to success. Surgical Sales Consultants must be able to work effectively as a member of a team or independently depending on the day-to-day needs of the business. The Surgical Sales Consultant must excel in a fast-paced unpredictable environment where the schedule can (and often does) change.

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Selling and servicing orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

    • Covering/attending surgeries daily in order to advise surgeons and other healthcare professionals on the recommended use and features of the company’s orthopedic implant systems and related products.

    • Prepping and delivering orthopedic implant systems and related products to hospitals and surgery centers for use in surgery.

    • Retrieving and restocking surgical systems after use in surgery.

    • Mastering the proper use of the company’s orthopedic implant systems and related products.

    • Identifying and qualifying new leads.

    • Closing new business.

    • Maintaining and expanding business.

    Other Job Functions Include:

    -Rotation in the weekend call schedule, (approximately once every 4-6 weeks). -Service emergency surgery, beyond normal work hours, when necessary during the workweek.

    -10 hour days are routine and 12 hour days are not uncommon. -Independent study and continuous learning is absolutely crucial to remain proficient with surgical techniques, familiar with medical device technology and aware of industry trends.
