The Accounts Payable & Accounting Coordinator works under the supervision of the Controller. The position is fast-paced and multifaceted. Additional projects and tasks will be assigned by the Controller and CFO.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Entering Accounts Payable - Data entry of invoices for payments
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and review expense, invoices, and other accounting documents
• Explain billing, invoices, and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients
• Importing the daily purchase journal from proprietary company program
• Resolve accounting discrepancies
• Perform Monthly account reconciliations
• Prepare and submit local, state, and federal tax filings and forms
• Assist Product Manager in replenishment and maintenance of inventory levels
• Under the direction of the Product Manager prepare Purchase Orders of inventory items
• Working with reception on ordering and maintaining office supplies inventory
• Booking, coordinating, and updating Corporate employee travel.
• Document filing for the finance department
• Assist with month end journal entries and closing process
• Compilation and review of monthly financial statements
• Assist outside CPA firm with annual audit of company financial statements and related tax work

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Backup for Public Cart fulfillment
• Backup for Franchise Accounts Receivable functions
• Assist the Operations Department on general office administrative duties
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 2 years of accounting experience

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be proficient in Sage 50
• Must be able to multi-task and provide the highest level of customer service both internally and externally
• Must be able to type 45 wpm
• Must be able to lift and carry 25+ pounds and sit for long periods of time
