    Job Description

    The Media Coordinator is responsible for the organization, tracking, and management of digital content for use by our various Production units within NBC Sports. You serve as a first line of support for Production that runs 24/7, both at our NBC Sports Facility (Stamford, CT) and our various broadcast remote locations. You will be part of a team that involves all aspects of Production workflows (creation, documentation, support) and ensuring that they meet their deadlines. You will work alongside our Broadcast & Post Engineering group, triaging the day-to-day issues, and escalating as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ingesting MLB camera ENG with appropriate LUT’s
    • Ensuring MLB production assets are archived so that they can easily be restored
    • Managing the daily ingest of hundreds of recorded MLB events (pressers, shows, sporting events) and cataloguing appropriately when needed; otherwise deleting
    • Monitoring & managing the storage levels of multiple workgroups and workspaces and acting accordingly
    • Providing tier 1 technical support to Production in prioritizing asset restore requests in a timely manner and escalating to Engineering when required
    • Assisting Production in both the distribution and retrieval of MLB content using various digital deliveries (Media Shuttle, Frame.io, Latakoo, Dropbox, etc.)
    • Able to assist Production on a technical level with media issues throughout facility and escalating to Engineering when required
    • Teaching Production of the file-based workflows available to them to meet their deliverables
    • Ensuring the proper assembling and delivery of media for MLB remotes via hard drives and file transfers
    • Assisting with file-based content delivery for on air (NBC, Peacock) and our various playbacks and control rooms – both on site and remote
    • Working along-side the Post Engineering team to help achieve goals and meet deadlines
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in TV Production or related field; or equivalent experience
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience and working knowledge of Avid products (Interplay, Access, and Media Composer) or similar editing products.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Solid interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to understand immediate issues, interact with clients and respond to meet day-of-air deadlines
    • Asset Management system knowledge
    • Cursory knowledge of video codecs
    • Experience within a broadcast environment
    • Attention to detail and responsiveness
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of Edit products preferred (Adobe Premier/Media Encoder)
    • Technologically Proficient
    • Self-motivated, capable of working independently but also alongside a team as required
    • Able to handle and prioritize a high volume of production requests within a timely period

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
