    ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT  The Drupal Developer will program and configure custom Drupal implementations using Drupal's best-practice development techniques. This role will assist the Lead Drupal Architect and Senior Drupal Developer in implementing technical solutions defined by Senior Drupal Developer and/or Lead Drupal Architect for custom website projects and support engagements. The Drupal Developer will provide feature solutions based on documented specifications provided by Lead Drupal Architects, Senior Drupal Developers, or Mediacurrent customers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Provide Drupal development, programming, and configuration on custom application build and support engagements.
    • Keep informed on Drupal development best practices and coding standards.
    • Provide timely feedback to Project Managers, Drupal Architects, and customers on the status of assigned tasks.
    • Attend weekly status meetings to dialogue with project stakeholders about the status of assigned deliverables.
    • Unit test assigned features to ensure proper functionality, both backend and frontend, prior to committing to the development branch pull request.
    • Analyze written specifications and configure Drupal features that function within the specified scope.
    • Awareness and understanding of project budget and timelines in deliverables. Ensuring to communicate estimates and changes in scope/estimation.
    • Offer technical solutions to customers and Lead Drupal Architect when unforeseen challenges occur during development sprints.

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or equivalent area of study or professional experience.
    • Must see the "big picture" of a Drupal project and have a well-rounded web skillset.
    • Ability to write modules that create custom solutions to client problems.
    • Proven 2+ year track record of working with Drupal sites.
    • Familiarity with Git and Drupal development technologies such as Drush, Configuration Management, Views, etc.
    • Knowledge of Drupal-adjunct technologies such as the LAMP platform, Twig, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
    • Must be eager and passionate about Drupal community involvement and open-source.
    • Must be comfortable communicating with clients in both written and spoken formats.
    • Amenable to occasional travel to a customer site or speaking at a conference.

    Preferred

    • Understanding of efficient deployment workflows.
    • Experience contributing to and maintaining open source projects
    • Basic understanding of Decoupled Drupal architectures.
    • Experience working in a professional services business.
    • Writing and editorial experience.
