The Medical Advocate will play a vital role in preventing and intervening in domestic violence through outreach and relationship-building with hospitals. You will have the opportunity to provide direct client service and crisis intervention, as well as lead the charge in educating hospital staff on domestic violence awareness. Job Description As a Medical Advocate, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine domestic violence screenings in hospital emergency departments and other medical facilities.
Providing crisis intervention and support to patients affected by domestic violence.
Offering on-call coverage for assigned shifts as part of the hospital crisis response.
Delivering domestic violence education and training to hospital professionals and staff.
Engaging in outreach efforts to increase awareness and referrals within hospitals.
Building and maintaining relationships with hospital partners, ensuring the growth of the Medical Advocacy Program.
Meeting regularly with the Director of Support Services to review program activities and ensure compliance with service goals.
Maintaining accurate records and submitting monthly program reports.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 12 PM - 8 PM
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree
