Around The Clock Ambulance is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hybrid Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative operations. This role hybrid works with on-site coordination in a fast-paced medical and EMS environment.
Assist with patient intake, documentation, and basic clinical support
Collect vital signs and prepare patients for evaluations or transport
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA
Support scheduling, follow-ups, and coordination with intake and operations teams
Assist medical staff with exams, procedures, and patient preparation
Perform administrative tasks during remote shifts, including data entry and documentation review
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized clinical areas
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare partners
Follow all safety, compliance, and healthcare protocols
Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred
1+ year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills
Comfortable using EMR systems and digital tools
Ability to multitask and work independently during remote shifts
Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
Ability to work both on-site in Indianapolis and remotely as scheduled
Reliable internet connection for hybrid work
Availability for full-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
