    Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position involves working closely with patients, assisting with various administrative and medical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records. A strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures is essential for success in this role.

    Duties

    Patient intake.

    Greet and assist incoming patients.

    Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and equipment.

    Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting patient histories.

    Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

    Manage patient flow within the clinic, ensuring timely service and effective communication with patients.

    Scanning/Indexing of patient documents

    Skills

    Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to support a variety of clinical tasks.

    Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and urgent care protocols.

    Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate and timely documentation.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred for emergency preparedness.

    Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

    Proven ability to work collaboratively in team-based environments and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

    Requirements:

    Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California Driver's License.

    Must submit to and pass a drug test and criminal background check as a precondition to employment.

    Must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 with booster, Hepatitis B, TDAP, and MMR. Must provide a recent TB test.

    BLS/CPR certification required.

    Medical Assistant certifications are required.

    A minimum of 6 months of prior back office experience is required.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $18.50 - $23.50 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
