    Job Description

    Location: Onsite at Bay Area Women's Specialists (830 Gemini St Suite B, Houston, TX 77058), with required travel to multiple areas.

    We're seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Medical Assistant with 1-2 years of experience to manage both essential clinical duties and efficient front office operations. This dynamic role is crucial for delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth, supportive experience for our patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Clinical Support:

    • Room patients, record vital signs, and document chief complaints and medical history.
    • Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, and preparing patients for procedures.
    • Administer medications/injections and perform phlebotomy as ordered.
    • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supplies.
    • Provide basic patient education on women's health topics or procedures.

    Front Office Coordination:

    • Warmly greet and check patients in/out, verifying demographics and insurance.
    • Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and handle referrals.
    • Process co-pays and outstanding balances.
    • Maintain accurate EMR records and ensure strict HIPAA compliance.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED required
    • 1-2 years of combined clinical MA and front desk experience in a medical office, preferably in women's health or OB/GYN
    • Proficiency with EMR systems
    • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
