About the Position
We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our fast-growing hand surgery practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, motivated, and excited to advance in a specialized orthopedic setting. Experience in hand surgery or orthopedics—especially casting and splinting—is highly preferred.
🌟 What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform patient intake and assist with medical documentation
Assist the physician during exams and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and set up equipment for minor procedures
Educate patients on proper orthotic/splint use (donning & doffing)
Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment safety
Apply, remove, and assist with casting and splinting
Ensure all ordered tests are received prior to follow-up visits
Call in prescriptions and assist with basic clinical tasks
Administrative Responsibilities
Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries as needed
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff
Manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor expiration dates
Assist with supply ordering
📌 Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
Bilingual: English/Spanish (required)
Experience with casting/splinting highly preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
EMR experience required; eClinicalWorks a plus
Prior experience in orthopedics or hand surgery is preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate
