    Cornerstone Family Practice & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant for a busy outpatient practice. We are looking for a serious applicant who is professional, patient-centered, organized, and able to think critically in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    The role requires someone who understands that a medical assistant is essential to patient flow, clinical support, communication, accuracy, and the overall quality of care. The right candidate must be able to work efficiently, follow through, use sound judgment, and maintain professionalism with patients, staff, and provider at all times.

    Responsibilities

    Room patients efficiently and accurately

    Obtain and document vitals, complaints, medication lists, allergies and histories

    Prepare patients for examination and assist the provider during visits

    Perform clinical tasks within scope, training, and office protocol

    Administer injections, perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, and other clinical duties as applicable

    Prepare and stock exam rooms

    Clean and turn over rooms promptly between patients

    Document accurately in the electronic medical record

    Process refill requests, patient messages, referrals, prior authorizations, and orders as directed

    Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, pharmacies, labs, and outside offices

    Maintain infection control, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance

    Help support efficient patient flow and identify issues before they become problem

    Qualifications

    Prior medical assistant experience strongly preferred

    Current BLS and RMA certification preferred

    Strong clinical and administrative skills

    Ability to multitask and stay organized

    Strong communication and patient-service skills

    Professionalism, dependability, and punctuality

    Ability to follow directions, office workflow, and clinical protocols

    Stable work history preferred
