Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team full-time! In this role, you’ll support patient care by preparing for each visit ahead of time. Responsibilities include reviewing and organizing new patient paperwork, entering medications and allergies into the patient chart, and ensuring any relevant imaging or prior records are uploaded before the appointment. You’ll assist providers during exams and help maintain a clean, well-organized clinical environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, bilingual in Spanish, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office.
Patient Preparation & Intake
Greet and check in patients; process intake paperwork
Pre-prep the provider’s note using new patient paperwork
Prepare for patient visits, including pulling charts and notes beforehand
Enter medications, allergies, and relevant history into the patient chart
Check for prior imaging and upload results into the EHR
Request and follow up on cardiac clearances
Take and record vital signs
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures (e.g., positioning, explaining steps)
Clinical Assistance
Assist providers with basic medical care and procedures
Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care
Administrative Duties
Answer phones and emails; field medical questions and patient inquiries
Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
Call/send in prescriptions
Perform general medical office duties
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Cleaning & Equipment Maintenance
Set up medical equipment before patient visits
Clean instruments and exam rooms after use
Manage and restock supply inventory
Schedule
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Willing to work occasional Saturdays, as needed
Must be willing to travel to other office locations as needed
Qualifications
BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
