The ideal candidate must have a Medical Assistant certification, Fluent in English Language and Spanish. The Duties include but not limited to:
*Assist providers as may be required
Confirm and review Patient appointments prior to visit.
Confirm that all labs, imaging, and consults are available prior to appointment date.
Check-out patients and assist with referral processing.
Front Desk
Receive and initiate phone calls,
Schedule appointments and recall patients accordingly.
Obtains necessary patient information, update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients.
Scan and file all signed documents appropriately.
Triage all patients in line with established guidelines, including assessing vital signs, recording patients' health history and preparing patients for examination.
Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments.
Assist physicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
Work with Care Manager in continuation of care protocol.
Manage the monthly patient eligibility lists from the Insurance companies.
Participates in all QI initiatives and training.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to always communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
• Must maintain confidentiality.
