Job Summary

We are seeking an Optometric Assistant to join our team! As an Optometric Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts before their arrival, pretesting patients, and teaching contact lens insertion and removal. We will teach you to walk and then teach you to run! You can assist in opening glasses deliveries and then notifying patients that their eyewear has arrived. You will learn scheduling, setting up equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, is coachable, and has previous office experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as pretesting

Answer phones, notify patients that their orders have arrived

Follow up calls to patients after receiving eyeglasses.

Contact lens insertion and removal training
