Southern California Plastic Surgery Center is seeking a highly motivated, professional, and organized Medical Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our fast-paced, high-volume surgical practice. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask efficiently, maintain professionalism under pressure, and provide exceptional patient care and customer service.
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Active Phlebotomy License required
- CPR certified
- Previous experience in a medical office or surgical setting preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Coordination
- Greet and assist patients, family members, and visitors
- Answer and manage high-volume phone calls
- Respond to emails, messages, and patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Make reminder calls and send appointment confirmations
- Assist with virtual consultations and follow-up calls
- Answer questions regarding pre-op care, post-op care, medications, appointments, and payments
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Office Operations
- Review daily and next-day patient schedules
- Prepare and organize patient charts
- Monitor building access and ensure only authorized individuals enter the facility
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment
- Restock office paperwork, consent forms, surgical packets, and post-op instructions
- Organize, file, and print patient documentation as needed
Surgical & Clinical Support
- Assist patients with pre-operative preparation and documentation
- Ensure surgical files are complete, including labs, medical clearances, consents, and required documentation
- Perform urine pregnancy testing and maintain daily logs
- Take pre-operative and post-operative patient photos
- Perform phlebotomy duties as needed
- Assist clinical staff with patient flow and support during procedures
- Reinforce post-operative instructions and assist with discharge processes
- Support providers and staff with additional patient care duties as needed
Patient Communication & Sales Support
- Assist with consultation coordination and patient follow-up
- Educate patients on available services and treatment options
- Answer inquiries regarding cosmetic procedures and wellness services
- Provide professional and compassionate communication throughout the patient experience
