LaFrance Medical Aesthetics, an award-winning provider of non-invasive cosmetic treatments, is seeking a dedicated and high-energy Medical Assistant. This individual will play a key role in patient care and support by preparing patients for treatments, assisting clinicians, and ensuring the smooth operation of both the clinical and administrative aspects of our practice.
Clinical Duties:
Room patients and prepare them for treatment by obtaining medical histories, explaining treatment procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
Assist clinicians during treatments, including procedures such as Botox, Dermal Filler, Sofwave, laser treatments, and other non-invasive aesthetic treatments.
Obtain patient consent, perform pre-and post-treatment photography, and explain pre- and post-care instructions.
Assist with prescription submission and refills.
Maintain clean and well-stocked treatment rooms, including equipment, supplies, linens, and inventory.
Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on treatment equipment.
Ensure that all medical records are updated and completely timely and in compliance with electronic health record systems.
Administrative Duties:
Greet patients warmly and handle check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk.
Answer patient inquiries, provide product recommendations, and educate patients on treatments and skincare products.
Handle telephone calls, correspondence, and assist with billing and inventory (as needed).
Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and common spaces, ensuring the office is always presentable.
Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, ensuring an efficient and smooth booking process.
Key Skills & Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA, preferably in medical aesthetics or dermatology.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and remain organized.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a positive and caring demeanor.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail.
Reliable transportation is required as travel to satellite locations (Kent, Connecticut) is necessary.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
Bilingual skills are a plus.

Prior experience medical aesthetics a PLUS.
