Job Duties
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and verify patient insurance information (must be knowledgeable in insurance carriers i.e., Mericare, Kern Family, Commercial)
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide excellent customer service
- Manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed
Qualifications
1 year experience in a similar position
BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Bilingual
