Medical Assistant (MA) – Full Time | $30/hr WorkMed California (Fresno, CA) Join a leading workers’ compensation medical practice committed to patient advocacy and clinical excellence. WorkMed California is seeking a skilled, proactive, and professional Medical Assistant to join our Fresno team. This is a full-time, on-site role in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment. Our ideal candidate is not only dependable and detail‑oriented, but also enthusiastic about supporting marketing and outreach initiatives alongside the Office Manager.

Position Overview ● Location: Fresno, California (in-office only) ● Pay: $30 per hour (flat rate) ● Schedule: Monday through Friday, full time

Key Responsibilities ● Room patients and take vital signs ● Prepare charts and review incoming medical records ● Assist with referrals and authorization requests ● Coordinate in‑office therapies and diagnostic appointments ● Communicate with attorney offices, adjusters, and third-party coordinators

● Support the physician with charting and case management ● Assist the Office Manager with marketing, including: ○ Outreach to local attorney offices and nurse case managers ○ Coordination of promotional materials ○ Community relationship building and referrals

Desired Qualities ● Interest in healthcare marketing or outreach ● Proactive, team-focused mindset ● Strong organizational and communication skills ● Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Requirements ● At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (required) ● Workers’ comp or occupational medicine experience is a plus ● Proficient with EMR systems (Prognocis or similar preferred) ● Professional demeanor and multitasking ability ● Comfortable assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks
