    We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Medical Assistant II to support our growing allergy and immunotherapy practice. This role is ideal for an experienced MA who thrives in a clinical setting and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities and training while continuing to provide hands-on patient care. The position will act as a key liaison between the practice manager and the clinical team, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, clinical quality, and patient safety.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Interaction & Education:

    Greet patients and assist with clinical intake and preparation for provider visits.

    Educate patients and families on allergy immunotherapy protocols and safety procedures.

    Provide general care and support to patients throughout their clinic visit.

    Medication & Immunotherapy Administration:

    Administer prescribed medications and treatments, specifically allergy/immunotherapy injections.

    Prepare and administer allergy and respiratory medications using aseptic technique.

    Monitor and document vital signs, treatment responses, and post-injection observation.

    Provides the general tasks of an immunotherapy nurse administering immunotherapy injections per office protocols.

    Diagnostic & Clinical Testing:

    Assist providers with skin testing, patch testing, and breathing tests during peak times.

    Assist the LVN or RN with skin testing and other procedures as directed.

    Calibrate and operate Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) equipment as needed.

    Clinical Environment & Documentation:

    Maintain clean and stocked clinical areas, including injection and exam rooms.

    Support documentation in the EHR (ModMed), including vitals, test results, and care summaries.

    Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations and participate in routine equipment sterilization.

    Administrative & Operational Support:

    Assist with limited prior authorizations.

    Serve as a resource for clinical administrative functions.

    Perform other clinical or administrative tasks as requested by supervisors or providers.

    Additional duties as assigned.

    Leadership & Training:

    Lead and support back office clinical operations as the point of contact for workflow coordination and troubleshooting.

    Provide guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training for MA 1s and clinical support staff.

    Collaborate with providers, LVNs, RNs, and front office staff to support efficient patient care and clinic operations.

    Clinical Protocols & Compliance:

    Act as a clinical resource for allergy desensitization therapies, emergency protocols, and use of medical equipment.

    Ensure consistent adherence to clinical protocols, infection control, and safety procedures, including anaphylaxis response and aseptic techniques.

    Manage back office inventory and supply levels, including immunotherapy materials, testing kits, and emergency medications.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Experience & Licensing:

    2–5 years of experience

    Nationally Certified MA or an MA Diploma from a school in the state of Arizona.

    CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain)

    Skills & Competencies:

    Strong organizational and communication skills

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team

    Must be comfortable performing complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge and judgment

    Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

    Ability to work with other members of the healthcare team

    Technical Knowledge:

    Electronic health records (EHR) experience preferred

    Skilled in Pulmonary function testing, FeNO testing, and peak flow monitoring

    Knowledgeable in patient education regarding medications and environmental controls

    Clinical experience in allergy preferred, but not required
