Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Licensure: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
- Experience: Previous hands-on experience in a clinical healthcare setting is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Strong clinical skills, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient preparation.
- Language: Must be Bilingual in Spanish.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational ability, empathy, and a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients, obtain and accurately record vital signs, and document patient history in the EMR.
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, administering EKGs, and preparing lab specimens.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
- Provide clear communication and instructions to patients in both English and Spanish, ensuring comfort and understanding.
