Part Time : 24 Hours / week

Shift Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm - 3 days a week

** GENERAL SUMMARY:**

Under the collaborative guidance of our providers and nursing leadership, you'll be at the heart of delivering quality, compassionate care to our patients. As a Medical Assistant, you'll wear multiple hats—combining clinical expertise with genuine patient interaction to create positive healthcare experiences.

** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• Create Welcoming Experiences: Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, then guide them through our facility to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.
• Build Patient Connections: Obtain comprehensive medical histories by asking thoughtful questions and actively listening—laying the foundation for excellent clinical care.
• Monitor Vital Health Indicators: Accurately measure and record vital signs, understanding that these measurements are critical to our providers' clinical decision-making.
• Prepare for Success: Ready patients for examinations and procedures with clear communication and attention to detail, helping them feel informed and at ease.
• Support Clinical Excellence: Work alongside our providers during examinations and procedures, serving as a trusted clinical partner who enhances the quality of patient care.

Qualifications

** EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.
• Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA/CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Associations Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), and National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) preferred.

** Additional Requirements:**

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR

Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR

Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR

Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.

** CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:**

• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.
