    Medical Assistant – Internal Medicine & Pain Management

    Tennessee Internal Medicine and Pain Associates is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team.

    This position will work primarily with our pain management department, while also assisting our internal medicine team as needed. We are looking for someone who is flexible, takes initiative, and enjoys being part of a collaborative practice where everyone helps one another.

    Responsibilities

    Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medication histories, and health information

    Prepare patients for office visits, injections, and in-office procedures

    Assist providers with clinical and procedural needs

    Review and update medications, allergies, pharmacies, and medical histories

    Enter orders and assist with prescription and refill requests

    Coordinate imaging, referrals, testing, and prior authorizations

    Respond to patient messages and telephone calls

    Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam and procedure rooms

    Provide support to both the pain management and internal medicine departments

    Help the clinical team wherever needed to keep the practice running smoothly

    Qualifications

    Medical Assistant experience preferred

    Pain management, orthopedic, neurology, internal medicine, or procedural experience is a plus

    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    Comfortable using electronic medical records

    Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment

    Professional and compassionate when communicating with patients

    Willing to learn, accept feedback, and support coworkers

    Able to move comfortably between departments as practice needs change
