Job Description:
We are seeking a medical assistant for a busy primary care office. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task, have good time keeping skills, be a team player and have a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities:
Taking patient vital signs including manual BP, pulse, heart rate and temperature
Assisting providers with exams and procedures
Performing EKG, phlebotomy and other essential laboratory procedures
Checking patients in and out upon arrival and departure
Preparing patients for physical examinations
Answering phone calls
Updating and maintaining electronic health records (EHR)
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
At least 18 years of age
Experience in a primary care, outpatient, or ER setting
Computer skills
CMA (AAMA) certification or eligibility a plus
BLS a plus.
34 hours per week base, option for additional hours if desired.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
Benefits negotiable after 3 month period of mutual assessment
