Position Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. You’ll complete a 4–8-week hands-on training program at our Temecula location—learning our workflows, protocols, and patient-experience standards—then transition to the grand opening of our San Marcos clinic to help deliver seamless, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Support:
* Room and prepare patients for exams and treatments
* Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
* Assist providers with procedures: IV insertions, injections, point-of-care testing, and aesthetic treatments
- Lab & Inventory:
* Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens; label and track samples for external labs
* Maintain inventory of clinical supplies, restock treatment rooms, and monitor expiration dates
- Patient Education & Follow-Up:
* Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions under provider delegation
* Schedule follow-up appointments, send reminders, and assist with referral coordination
- EMR & Documentation:
* Accurately chart all patient interactions, procedure notes, and treatment logs in the electronic medical record
* Ensure consent forms and treatment consents are signed and filed
- Infection Control & Compliance:
* Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA standards
* Sanitize rooms and equipment between patients, and maintain a clean clinical environment
Training & Transition Plan
- Orientation & Training (4–8 weeks, Temecula):
* Shadow providers across functional medicine, IV suite, and aesthetic services
* EMR navigation, lab workflows, and patient-education protocols
* Hands-on practice with vitals, phlebotomy, and room turnover under supervision
- San Marcos Grand Opening:
* Assist in setting up clinical rooms, stocking supplies, and validating workflows
* Serve as a lead MA, onboarding any additional support staff
* Help facilitate smooth patient flow and act as a clinical liaison during launch week
Qualifications
- Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical experience
- Certification preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA)
- Phlebotomy certification or demonstrated competency
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic billing/coding workflows
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care
