Educational requirements: Must have Medical Assistant Certification

Candidate responsibilities

· Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting.

· Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

· Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections.

· Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing.

· Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history.

· Ability to keep accurate records.

· Distribute prescribed medications.

· Effective communication skills.
