Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant experienced in pediatrics to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by gathering chart information such as vaccine records and scanning notes before their arrival, measuring vital signs, performing hearing and vision testing, and assisting the doctor with vaccinations and laboratory testing and following up on lab reports and referrals to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies and vaccines, setting up testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and exam rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong team camaraderie and customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous pediatric medical office experience including skills in vaccine administration and blood collection (venipuncture and capillary) for babies, children and teens.
Responsibilities
Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
Clean rooms, instruments and equipment after use
Answer phones and field questions about scheduling and identifying visit needs
Assist doctors and other team members with medical care and procedures
Scan lab results, fill in medical forms to be signed by the doctors and place orders for vaccines and supplies.
Qualifications
BLS Certification and Certified Medical Assistant
Excellent customer service skills
