    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with leadership qualities to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting both front and back office operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This individual will assist providers with clinical procedures, maintain organized and efficient patient flow, and perform essential administrative tasks such as scheduling, insurance verification, and patient intake. The position requires a strong understanding of clinical workflows, and medical insurance processes, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Spanish speaking is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments such as primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine, and demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability in all interactions.

    Responsibilities

    Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.

    Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient visits.

    Collect, document, and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in the EHR.

    Administer medications and perform basic clinical tasks as directed by providers.

    Manage front office operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and processing referrals or authorizations.

    Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.

    Support daily clinic workflow to optimize patient care and provider efficiency.

    Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members, demonstrating knowledge of medical terminology and professionalism in all interactions.

    Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality care and patient satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is required.

    Familiarity with clinic systems and electronic health records (EHR) is advantageous.

    Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.

    Experience with Prior Authorizations.

    Medial Records Experience.

    BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired

    Office Laboratory License

    Excellent customer service skills
